Only one bill will be mailed each year containing a detachable stub for each installment. When mailing payments, your cancelled check will be your receipt. Illinois law provides that all taxes not received or paid by due date shall have penalty added at the rate of 1.5% per month.

A penalty of 1 1/2 percent per month or part of a month will be added to each past due installment.
